Pair of currency vignettes used on notes printed in the summer of 1939, but never issued, both being known as Specimens and Remainders.
The first shows a portrait of a young woman in traditional dress. The vignette was used on the 20 Zlotych note (Pick-87).
The second piece bears the portrait of a woman in traditional rural dress as used on the 50 Zlotych note of the same series (Pick-88).
A nice pair of currency vignettes representing the only two designs of the second issue of 1939. Both are satiny and lustrous, with mottled deeper gray, olive and blue iridescence. Both bear the imprint "Bank Polski" below the engravings. (Total: 2 pieces)
