This coin has been produced to commemorate the issue of the 150th Anniversary of the Postal System by Japan Mint.
Obverse design: Letter collection box (Japan's first mailbox) and a work scene of mail being Loaded. The design is based on Postal On-site Picutr Scroll 6, which was drawn around the 1890s.
Reverse design: The entrance to the former Toyko Central Post Office.
Worldwide Mintage: 20,000 pieces.
