The program features the theme of “24 solar terms”, a traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. The set includes four 3gram gold coins (representing the four seasons), and twenty-four 8gram silver coins (representing the 24 solar terms), the biggest coin collection in recent years!  

The silver coins form a story of a little tiger spending his time in the 24 solar terms, throughout a year, showing the particular tradition / scene on each solar term.

Common obverse Design features a gui biao (an ancient sundial) adorned with peach and plum blossoms, wheat and rice, the title of PRC and the year date.

Reverse Designs for coin #1-4 - 3 grams gold x 4-coin. Chinese character of the season (Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter), the face value, animals and background design representing the particular season.

Reverse Designs for coin #5-28 - Twenty-four 8 grams silver 24-coins. Chinese characters of the solar term, the face value, the little tiger joining particular tradition / in a special scene representing the specific solar term.
