2018 Sino-Cambodian Coins Product Information: Date of Issue: Country of Issue: Cambodia Minted by: The Singapore Mint China & Cambodia jointly celebrated the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relationship in 2018. The Cambodian deputy Prime Minister credited China for their support in many positive initiatives throughout Cambodia that are advancing the country forward. Included in those initiatives credited to China is a reduction in poverty and advances in energy development. China has also helped assist Cambodia on landmine clearance, transportation infrastructure, and palace renovation in the capital of Phnom Penh. Perhaps one of the most symbolic initiatives of the Sino-Cambodian relationship is the China-funded national stadium, currently being built in Phnom Penh.
