In November 1987 the China Gold Coins Corporation and China Mint Company under the Peoples Bank of China were invited to participate in the 1987 International Investment Conference held in New Orleans. To mark this occasion, a commemorative was minted. It has a very low mintage of only 3,000 and is in proof condition. This is a great bargain compared to the famous 1982 1 oz. gold Panda, that had a mintage of 15,815 and is now selling for over $3,000!
