As our valued customers, we often want to give you the first look at brand new coins and make you aware of new events before the rest of the public. After weeks of anticipation, the China Mint last week finally unveiled the coins for Series II of the Official Beijing 2008 Olympic coin collection.
The images on the coins are striking and beautiful, and if you are one of the many who have already purchased your set, you won't be disappointed with the detail and design shown for Series II. They are beautiful! And, if you haven't already purchased your 2008 Beijing Olympics set, now is an excellent time to do so.
As you can see from the images, the themes for the coins of Series II include famous images of Beijing and China. Specifically, the Silver coins feature the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace, Beihai Park as well as the traditional courtyard residence of Beijing. The Gold coins feature 2 ancient Chinese sport games, weightlifting and swimming. And of course, the reverse side of both features the Beijing 2008 Olympic logo in the center surrounded on the edge of the coin with two intertwining dragons.
