Panda America is proud to announce the arrival of the 2007 Shawnee Indian Coins.
With 2 different designs on pure 99.9% gold and silver, these coins have fast become one of the most highly anticipated and popular products we carry.
The first design features Chief Blue Jacket on the obverse. Blue Jacket was a war chief known for his defense of the Shawnee lands in the Ohio Country. He is famously known as a predecessor of the famous Shawnee leader Tecumseh, of which there is already a coin featuring.
The second design features the Battle of the Wabash on the obverse. This was a battle between the United States and many Indian Tribes, including the Shawnees, near the Wabash River in Ohio Country. Neighboring Tribe's warriors for the battle joined the Shawnee, but they were still outnumbered by an American army led by General Arthur St. Clair. This battle is infamous in that it was the most severe defeat EVER suffered by the United States at the hands of American Indians. The defeat by the Indians was so severe that months later after the battle President George Washington forced General St. Clair to resign from his post!
Both coins feature a common reverse side with the crest of the Shawnee Nation as well as the year of issue, 2007.
As one of the most popular coin series' that we carry, we expect these coins to quickly become true collectors items. You can order your coins today by calling 1-800-472-6327 or by visiting our website at www.PandaAmerica.com
