The
2004 Panda coins feature a very appealing design of a mother
and baby panda. This is the first time since the Panda coins
were introduced in 1982 that more than a single panda is
shown on the bullion issues. In addition, two legal tender
Panda coins have been produced to commemorate the 20th Anniversary
of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
Maximum
mintages for the 2004 Pandas are as follows: 1 oz. 999 silver
(600,000), 1/20 oz. 999 gold (400,000), 1/10 oz. 999 gold
(250,000), ¼ oz. 999 gold (70,000), ½ oz.
999 gold (75,000), and 1 oz. (120,000). Price of the 1 oz.
silver Panda is $15.95; gold Pandas fluctuate with the spot
price of gold. Mintages of the ICBC 1 oz. 999 silver Panda
is 120,000 maximum, and ICBC ¼ oz. 999 gold Panda
is 50,000 maximum.
